Support the Let Our Salmon Come Home movement by sharing how you or your watershed has been affected by unsustainable ocean fisheries and salmon decline. Submit a short cell phone video or a few written words to help amplify the campaign.
We’ll provide a simple prompt, including an invitation to say the phrase “Let Our Salmon Come Home,” so your voice can be part of a shared coastwide montage. There’s nothing formal to prepare and no special equipment needed—just a few minutes of your time, if and when it feels right.
Your video or written message will become part of the campaign’s living story, helping reflect the many voices and perspectives connected to salmon, steelhead, and their ecosystems.
Review the submission guidelines below for tips and examples to help you get started.
Cell Phone Filming Guidelines
Choose a quiet location with minimal background noise.
Film outdoors in daylight, if possible.
Make sure your face is clearly visible and not in a shadow.
Hold the camera at eye level for the most natural framing.
Record yourself saying: “Let Our Salmon Come Home.” We encourage contributors to add a short, personal message afterward if they’re comfortable doing so—just pause briefly before continuing.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure your video does not exceed 100MB. For best results, we recommend keeping your video under 15 seconds. Acceptable file formats include .MP4 and .MOV.
Submit your written message using the form below by describing how you or your community have been negatively affected by ocean fisheries that allow too few salmon to return home to the communities and ecosystems that depend on them—and why you believe it’s time to Let Our Salmon Come Home.
You may also use the file uploader to include an optional photo or other visual to accompany your written message.
Please Note: By uploading your video or written story, you grant permission for the Let Our Salmon Come Home campaign and its partners to use, reproduce, and share your uploaded content for promotional, educational, and outreach purposes across media platforms.
